Yesterday was summer solstice! We think it’s the happiest day of the year for all our flowers☀️🌻

Renovating also means tackling the outside and bringing beauty through landscaping. These flowers truly are a labor of love. 🌹🪻

The decor has all been switched to get ready for July 4th! We love our home so much and the beautiful canvas it provides for these season looks. ❤️💙🤍🧨🌼

Guess what… this isn’t even all the teapots we own 🤗🥰

Each teapot tells a story, and we can’t wait to highlight more in the future. You may even see one of these serving your tea at your tea time at Pippa’s. ✨

How many teapots do you think are here??

From A to “Zinnia”… the flowers are blooming all around here! We may be biased, but we think we have the best “vases” around. 🫖🌼🪻

Our plan for the future is to continue to grow this little flower garden beside the house and have fresh cut blooms for our tea room tables. 😍💐🌷🌼🪻

Part of building a whimsical tea room means picking out beautiful antiques and heirloom items to fill our spaces. Pink isn’t the only color we love here 😉💙🦋🩵

This is just a little preview of some blue beauties that will fill our “blue room” at Pippa’s Cup of Tea. 🥰 stay tuned for full reveal!

Hoping you take a moment to enjoy all the beauty that’s around you this day! Even if it’s something simple like sunshine through some stained glass. ☀️💕

Even though preparations are still happening daily, we think it’s all sunshine and rainbows as we work towards finishing renovations! ☀️🤗

Our stained glass windows are absolutely breathtaking! The front windows, entrance, and side entrance have this beautiful stained glass that is all original to the house. The sunlight hits it perfectly throughout the day to always make the day feel a little extra magical. ✨.

We have searched and asked around for any details on the glass but seem to have struck out on its history/origin. If anyone is a history buff or knows the details of this specific glass… please let us know! 🏛️📝

The tea set that started it all! 🫖

My grandmother Cecile Meyer had two sets of Shelley China. One was a dinnerware set called, Dubarry in Burgandy. The other, set she called her breakfast set. This was love at first sight for me, and my first cup of tea (at 5 years old) was from one of these cups. And ok, it was mostly sugar and milk, but I was hooked. 😍

My grandmother’s set included, tea cups and saucers, sugar and creamers, a small cake stand, napkin holder, and egg cups, but no teapot. I searched for years and found both a traditional teapot and small coffee pot.

Shelley China has dozens of patterns, this set is called Rose, Pansy and Forget-Me-Not. You will see it displayed inside our home when you come visit for tea time. 💕
