Ladies and Gentlemen!
On the odd chance you have an opinion about the future of live music in Carpinteria, the City will address the state of the current Entertainment License tonight at its 5:30 meeting. Volume, indoors, outdoors, duration, weekday and weekend times and more will be discussed! As it stands, live outdoor music essentially evaporates in June, barring a hand full of special event permits.
We’re hoping for a productive and civil affair: this will likely be more of a marathon than a sprint. The City Staff welcomes constructive and specific feedback from the public on changes they would like to see in how live entertainment is
regulated. The Entertainment License is Agenda Item No.16. The City Staff have released a 28-page report which can be found here:

To make public comments through this platform please use the “raise your hand” feature to notify staff that you would like to make a public comment during designated public comment times. Once it is your turn to provide a public comment, staff will unmute your microphone and you will be given a designated amount of time to provide your comment. At the end of your comment, staff will once again mute your microphone.
