We are devastated and heartbroken by the passing of our dear friend, Casey. From the very beginning of Roaring Fork Beer Company, Casey has been an essential part of our story—not just as a collaborator, community partner, and leader, but most of all, as our friend.
We had the privilege of hosting countless events with and for Casey, celebrating his ultimate life passion—Wild Mountain Seeds and Seed Peace. From beer dinners and farmer talks to farmer collaboratives and even squash auctions—where Casey’s prized squash once sold for over $300 at a live auction at Batch—his dedication and vision left an indelible mark on our community.
Beyond business, we shared countless memories with Casey as a friend. Kind, humble, caring, loving and loved you were, Casey. His ability to captivate an audience with his deep knowledge of growing and food science, combined with his relentless pursuit of food security in the Roaring Fork Valley, was nothing short of inspiring.
We will miss you, Case, but your legacy and leadership remain deeply rooted in this soil and in our hearts. Our deepest sympathies and love go out to all who were touched by Casey and had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
“Every seed you sow is like making a tiny brush stroke on the canvas of the farm that will grow into a masterpiece fueled by the sun and the myriad of microscopic life in the soil.” - Casey Piscura
