See you all there!!! We are going to have a blastin’💥 good ol time!!!!

The City of Carbondale and Southern Illinois University Carbondale are excited to announce the return of the annual fireworks display on SIU campus! The event will take place on Friday, July 4, at 9:15 p.m.

For the best viewing, spectators are advised to park in Banterra Center parking lots 18 and 56. Overflow parking will be directed to lot 89, north of the Banterra Center. It is recommended to arrive early, as the main parking lots are usually full and closed by 9 p.m.

While waiting for the fireworks to begin, enjoy an array of delicious treats from our fantastic vendors, including HoneyBeez Snowballz offering their classic sno-cones as well as nachos, hot dogs, & cake balls, the iconic American Ice Cream Truck, and Murphysboro Pelzer’s Tropical Sno's ultimate delight of shaved ice.

Road closures will start at 6 p.m., including parking lots 37 and 52. Cars must be cleared from these areas by 6 p.m. Douglas Drive and Saluki Drive will be closed from Evergreen to Lincoln, and from Douglas to Arena Drive, until after the fireworks display.

Parking along Route 51 or other roadways for viewing purposes is prohibited.

In the event of rain, the fireworks display will be postponed to Saturday, July 5, at 9:15 p.m.

Today was a day for the books 📚 from the 1st Day of school, Ribbon Cutting to the First Annual Taste of Carbondale on to Sweet Goodbyes on campus!!! An event filled day and with tons of laughter and Snowballz. Thank you to all that came out to support me. Your love and support never goes unnoticed.

**📣 Calling all HoneyBeez Snowballz Customers!!!**

🌟 Tonight, we will be at the SIU Fireworks located at the Banterra Center in lot 56!!! 🌟

🔥 Keep in mind it’s very hot outside, which means my tin can is even hotter!!! 🔥

I will be serving Snowballz, Hotdogs, and Loaded Nachos as long as I can stand and still enjoy the fireworks!!! 🎆 Last customer will be served at 9pm.

Come grab your great eats as you requested I bring! 😛

The best viewing spots are from the Banterra Center Parking Lots 18 & 56. Guest are encouraged to arrive early to get a spot and will be able to enjoy treats from Bake Me Happy, Food Co. , Murphysboro Pelzer’s Tropical Sno , The Great American Ice Cream Truck, and HoneyBeez Snowballz!

Should weather delay the set-up or show, there is a rain date of July 5th, 9:15 PM.

Big Thanks to Peter Julian and Creal Springs VFW for having Honeybeez Snowballz come out and serve at you benefit for the Odum Family. It was a successful event and a first time selling out of Loaded Nachos and in Creal Springs!!!!
