Food is living heritage. Today, on we're honoring the culinary traditions of our region, celebrating the stories, techniques, local ingredients and responsibly harvested seafood that keep culture evolving and thriving in Maine.
Maine's Lobster industry has practiced sustainability for over 150 years by self-imposing low-impact gear techniques, size limits for lobsters, notching tails and returning breeding lobsters to the ocean and apprentice programs that teach sustainability to fishermen. Guests are able to join the crew of a lobster boat and help haul lobster and learn more with our lobstering package.
