For years, Ashley and Red Harrell have quietly poured into the community that has supported Gaffer’s and Birdies.

They are always willing to step up when someone needs help, support a local cause and find ways to give back, without ever asking for recognition in return.

Over the years, they have supported local teachers, helped pay off school lunch debt, prepared meals for hurricane victims, raised money for organizations throughout our area and encouraged our teams to find ways to serve too. Giving back is not something they do occasionally. It is part of who they are and how they lead.

Earlier this year, Ashley and Red received the Ken Conrad Award for Service to the Community from the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association. Now, we have the opportunity to help their impact be recognized on a national level.

We would be incredibly grateful if you would nominate Ashley and Red for the Community Champion Leadership Award, presented by American Express, through the Restaurants Advance Leadership Awards.

They would never ask for this recognition themselves, so we are asking for them.

Nominations close this Friday, July 31. Thank you for helping us celebrate two people who have spent years showing up for this community. 💙
