Last week was an absolute DREAM come true! Our family had the privilege of serving the underserved gluten-free community at GLUTEN FREEDOM FESTIVAL ATL!!!
So many thanks to Monday Night Brewing for hosting & featuring our hamburger buns on their GF smash burgers — we received the BEST feedback! Thank you to Stephanie Pardue & Amanda McAllister for absolutely ROCKING the “festival momma” duties — they worked tirelessly behind the scenes & were the hostesses with the mostesses on festival day — greeting vendors & guests and checking in on everyone throughout the day! Ladies, you set the standard!🫶🏻
MAJOR SHOUTOUT to our children. They sacrificed their entire fall break without a single ounce of complaining. They gave everything they had to help us prepare — many MANY long & very early hours, and they did it all with a smile on their face.
When Eric & I first started this venture together, I was struggling MAJORLY with how to balance being a mother and entrepreneur — not separately but simultaneously. I knew God had called me to build this business, but I didn’t know the best way to manage it all. I was putting my mom duties in a box at home and my business owner duties in a box at the store. It wasn’t working because I always felt pulled to the other in both places. One day, a woman, who I had never spoken with before, told me that God didn’t just call me to this place — He called my whole family to this place. I’m not to be just a mom at home and a business owner at the store. I’m called to be both a mom AND a business owner in both places. She said each of our roles will look different in this season, but we’re all to build this dream together. It was a Truth that set my mind free from the struggle & gave me permission to invite our children in on the journey in a way I hadn’t thought of before. Seeing our whole family come together this past week was truly part of our calling being fulfilled, and it was the BEST gift we could’ve received. The TLG’ers we served and the connections we made were invaluable.
