Craig was born on April 29, 1955, in Rockdale to Alvin Frank and Marcia Violet (Uptmore) Sulak. He spent his childhood in Rockdale and in 1973 graduated from Rockdale High School. In the fall of 1986, through a mutual friend, he met the love of his life, Julie Stanislaw, at the Thorndale Chili Cookoff. Craig then became a full-time rancher, raising not only cattle but exotic animals, water buffalo being a recent acquisition.

Always finding humor, he befriended people effortlessly, though he preferred being at home with his family and animals. Craig was fiercely independent, kind, caring, and loyal, and he is the love of Julieβs life. Love at first sight really does happen and last! Together, they cherished the adventure and journey of their active lives, from βCraig and Julie,β to βDad and Mom,β and finally to βGrandpa and Doo.β He is irreplaceable and his presence will always be felt and never forgotten.
