🤎 A Little Thank You for David Gage 🤎

When I created the David Gage Cowboy Cookie, I created it in dedication to my son, David Gage. It was my way of keeping his memory alive and giving his name a little more sweetness in this world. 🤎

I knew I wanted to share this cookie with you all, and I hoped people would enjoy it… but I honestly wasn’t expecting them to sell as quickly as they did.

Today, I just want to say THANK YOU. 🥹🤎

Thank you to everyone who purchased a David Gage Cowboy Cookie. Thank you for supporting my small business, but more importantly, thank you for helping me remember my son.

Every cookie sold means his name was spoken, his story was carried a little farther, and his memory was shared with someone new.

Today is pre-measuring day! ❤️

I’m getting everything ready for this month’s Cookie Club baking — 3 flavors, 2 cookie styles, and 6 cookies of each.

🍎 Apple Butter — Snickerdoodle & Crinkle

🍁 Maple Pecan — Snickerdoodle & Crinkle

There’s a LOT of measuring that happens before the first cookie ever hits the oven! 😂 But getting everything pre-measured means I can keep things organized and make sure every batch gets the same love and attention.

Trying Something New Tonight… 🍋

Tonight, I’m going back to the beginning — my first and favorite pie: Lemon Meringue. 🥧

I’m baking the pie, playing with the flavors, and thinking about how I can take everything I love about it and turn it into a cookie.

Tonight it’s all about the pie.
Tomorrow… we turn it into a cookie. 🍋🍪

This is the beginning of The Pie Project at The Vintage Flour Company.
