I’ll tell you all about him just as soon as I can gather up my words and my heart, but for now I’ll just say…we lost a very special Betty last week. He was a “behind the scenes” Betty. Clarky was his Betty name, but I don’t know if I ever told him that. He’s all over this bar…the handles and gold paint on our horseshoe so we could put it outside on display, our sign that sat broken for a year and was all of a sudden fixed without us even asking because he saw it while he was there to do something else, the stack of oil waiting for him to take to the glass blowing place in Belfast, the work sink in the back that I had no idea who I was going to get to install, the Japanese Knot Root or whatever it’s called that he’d always cut down before the Fire Inspection, the Christmas lights he stapled to outside of the garage doors in the freezing cold…and the snowbank he’d spend all winter piling as high as he could for our ice sculpture that we’d manage to get up once, maybe twice a year if we were lucky. He’s everywhere, and I don’t know what we’re going to do without him. We sure do love you, Gresham. And we miss you like crazy. 🤞🏼💋🌪️
(If you know him and would like to contribute, a GoFundme has been set up to support his two children: https://www.gofundme.com/f/honoring-gresham-support-for-marleigh-and-ben)
