It wasn't too long ago that Hannah was proving she knew a lot about pastry. We posted a picture of her and one of her creations. Now, today, Gavyn is following in her footsteps. He whipped up a homemade carrot cake and made the frosting from scratch as well. We make all our cakes and pies from scratch so you get the best deserts. Come try his cake Sunday when we serve our own homemade Chicken and Dumplings or Fried Chicken.

We have a real treat for everyone now.
In addidion to the many other great deserts we currently offer, today we have made a fresh Arkansas Possom Pie to the lineup!

You don't need to go home and heat up your kitchen during this hot week! We have Whole Chicken Wings as our Special today. Beat the heat and come get some to take home, we can do that for you. And while your here, pick up some of our sides as well, then finish it off with some of our delicious Homemade Pies. Order your wings to go and they are just 1.50 each today. Call in advance so we can have them ready when you get here. (It takes about 10 minutes to get them fully cooked since these are whole Jumbo wings.)

Since Tuesdays are usually a day to go get supplies or food, I decided to stay close today and not drive. But, since I can always find things to do at the diner, here is what I did today. I guess there is still room to improve, but it looks like its going to be tasty.
I started from the whole apple then progressed to the final picture. Come see us and try a slice.

This looks like it is going to be yet another great time to be in Caledonia!

Jeepin' Ohana 's 3rd Annual Blessing of the Jeeps is August 1st in Caledonia MO. Caledonia is a great village with an authentic old time Mercantile, Hot Dog Shoppe, many great little shops and restaurants, and they have bed and breakfasts and plenty of other people places to stay if you would want to spend the weekend. Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut Ins are just down the road . Come out and have your jeep blessed, grab some BBQ, participate in our Duck Hunt through Caledonia shops for prizes, then spend the weekend and hit Elephant Rocks for a nice hike or Johnson's Shut Ins for a swim. Donations go to the Christian Motorcycle Association and Jeepin' Ohana Project Holidays. We are asking for a $20 donation. Those who donate $25 or more will receive a goodie bag! Even if you don't own a jeep, come on out and check all the great rides!
