A 14 oz Double B Ranch ribeye from Wye Mountain, Arkansas. Grass-fed, grass-finished and aged 21 days for exceptional tenderness and rich beef flavor. Served with a baked potato and lemon-garlic asparagus. Make your potato loaded +$4.

🍺 CHRIS SAYS: A b**r can taste sweet without adding a bunch of sugar to it.

This one surprises people. During fermentation, yeast eats the fermentable sugars in the wort and turns them into alcohol and CO₂.

So how can the finished b**r still taste sweet? Because what your brain reads as “sweet” isn't always just leftover sugar.

Malt can give b**r flavors that remind you of caramel, bread, honey, chocolate or toffee. Certain yeast characteristics, alcohol, body and even the balance between malt and hops can make a b**r seem sweeter too. That's why a dark b**r can taste rich and chocolatey without being loaded with sugar.

And it's why tasting b**r is a little more complicated than:
Sweet b**r = lots of sugar.

B**r has layers.

Some days just call for a big ol’ piece of lasagna.

Today we’re serving a generous 14 oz slice made with grass-fed, grass-finished Arkansas beef from Double B Ranch in Wye Mountain, layered with our house-made marinara, creamy ricotta and melted mozzarella, then baked until bubbly and golden.

And because no plate of lasagna should be left with sauce on it, we’re serving it with a warm piece of our house-made focaccia.
