Almost a year ago, we found Katie, owner of Revive Interiors based in Minnesota, on Instagram and began the design of Sundae Social.
We dialed in our ice cream, but needed help bringing our vision for the space to life. We wanted something fun, summery, nostalgic and rooted in community. When we met Katie over Zoom, we knew she could help us bring it all together.
Fast forward to this weekend, Katie and her family were traveling south and realized Byron wasn’t too far off the highway. They stopped in to finally see Sundae Social in person, and we had the best time meeting in real life, showing them the space she helped design and letting her girls make their own ice cream. It was pretty special to turn a year of Zoom calls into a real life friendship.
Because Katie is based in Minnesota, our entire collaboration was virtual, but she quickly became so much more than a designer. She immersed herself in our vision and worked closely with us for weeks, fine-tuning every detail. Her 3D renderings helped us visualize the space before construction and gave our contractors and everyone involved a clear picture of where we were headed.
