Well.....one thinks one has been very clear with her written word.....but my daughter says maybe not so much. She thinks my first notification sounded like an open invitation to everyone!! I do like to feed folks, but that might push me over the edge.....

The gathering on Saturday, 24 October 2026, 4-6 PM at the Deli is for the members of the class of '59.....a reunion.

I finally found a diet plan that really works. It's called "The Price of Food."

Good morning....

We have a leak behind the washer, so in preparation for the repairman we moved things out of the way. The better for Domino Kitten to go exploring and find lost toys. He finds a little blue felt ball. So pleased with himself, he almost does a Snoopy dance!! He brings it to us to throw; he chases it, returns it. When he tires of the game, the ball disappears again, he stretches out on the floor and poses and rolls around and ignores the "where's the ball?" question. Selective hearing......

There's your Domino Kitten tale, Becky. There are more!

Good morning.....

On Saturday, October 24 UGA Football has a day off. So the Warner Robins High School Class of '59 has a plan to fill your empty afternoon. And feed you. And recall the good ole days. (Some were, some not so much!) And talk. And laugh. And did I mention food?

Good morning....

Nice weekend. A little shopping, a little cooking. Except for the cake....I lost track of the time and over baked it. I was going to toss it, but Vicki suggested "trifle." I think coconut, pecans, whipped cream, vanilla pudding, caramel....tomorrow. Waste not, want not, I say!! And maybe a timer.....

Good morning....

We know the heat and maybe some humidity is due back this week, but the
preview of Fall has been wonderful.

We had a baby shower at the Deli on Saturday after closing our regular hours. Pretty decorations. Even some non-guests stopped by to look!!

Domino Kitten has been tearing around the house this morning like a crazed furball! Bouncing off furniture; leaping from one chair to another; chasing Lambie, tossing him into the air, and coming dangerously close to stuffing him behind the cabinet. That part is so that he can watch his "people" rescue Lambie....it's very entertaining apparently, as he does it on a regular basis!!

However, there was a lull in the frenetic activity. He was stretched out in the doorway looking very cute (as he does!). I walked over to pat him and discovered that he had, once again, taken the bathroom tissue into the hall and unrolled it!

Good thing he's cute!

Good morning....

Son and DIL gave me a spa gift certificate for my birthday in March....had to cancel the first time I had an appointment. And it took forever to find some "me-time" again. Yesterday was the day!! Feel very pampered...now it's back to work!!

Good morning....

My computer is doing weird things.....hurry Megan & Josh! It needs multiple clicks to move. Then it jumps to different "locations" without my knowledge or consent! For those of you who know, I'm sorry to repeat myself. For those of you who don't know, I hate computers!

Well, Vicki and I were returning home from an errand and while unlocking the front door, she mentioned that she had found and removed a snake skin from the porch. About that time I noticed one intertwined in a Japanese lantern sitting on the table....and immediately, noticed another wrapped AROUND the table!!!!!! For those of you who know, I'm sorry to repeat myself. For those of you who don't know, I hate snakes more than computers! Gives me the chizzards!

You will notice that the Fall wreaths are on the doors at the Deli. Domino Kitten and I worked on those yesterday. If you look closely, you might see tiny teeth marks in the grapevines. He chased a twig around the room til it ended under something...or until he found something else to draw his attention. Either one! Mostly, what drew his attention were the berries on the silk flowers in the boxes, which I kept covering with lids to prevent him from ingesting them. Did I mention that making two wreaths took some time? But I remember that making wreaths without the "help" wasn't as much fun!!

Good morning....

Earlier this week I thought of several things to write about that weren't Domino Kitten related. They have evaporated or gotten lost in the jumble of my brain!

You know those notepads on lanyards? Paper and pen on a cord. Hanging around my neck. I need three.

Good morning....

Happy September! It's the start of Fall, even if the outside temperature is still in denial. However, the indoor temperature at the McLean house is cool. New AC will get that result most every time!

Okay. Here are a couple of Domino Kitten stories for this week. While I was starting supper on Monday, Himself decided it was time to fill his food bowl. It wasn't exactly. Dinner time for him is 5 pm or close to. It was close to. And I wasn't at a stopping point....veggies were sauteing and not to be left unattended. I explained the situation to Himself and turned to gather something from the counter. I turned back to the stove and discovered a kitten stretched to his full length directly in front of it. When I stopped crying/laughing, I moved the pan off the heat and got the clown his dinner!!!

I was sitting at my desk this morning. He usually comes and sits in the basket next to it when I am. He did. He also chews on the cards (birthday, get well, etc,) that reside in said basket. He did. I scolded him. He sort of stopped. I scolded him again and pointed my finger at him. He pawed my finger and scolded me back!! However, you'll be happy to know I won that encounter. There will be a next time....he's very determined.

Good morning....

I hope this goes through to y'all. "Puter has been doing strange things this morning. Some might say it's the operator....the operator would tell you this device is inhabited by gremlins.

As I sat down to compose this, Domino Kitten jumped into the paper recycle basket. There were a couple of plastic grocery bags which had floated into the basket, so he got into one. Then he jumped out of the basket. The plastic bag came with him. Tried backing out of it. Didn't work. Nothing left to do but to tear through the house at break-neck speed hoping the pesky bag would dislodge. He emerged from the bedroom unencumbered by the bag, looking satisfied that he had bested the "beast." Said bag is MIA.
