Can I just take a second to be a proud dad? 😭🙌🏾❤️

This week, my Buddy started his very first days in junior high. We all know how brutal and full of peer pressure middle school can be. By day three, a young man in his class was struggling with personal hygiene, and other students started talking about him out loud and laughing.

My son could have joined the crowd. He could have stayed silent. Instead, he chose to lead.

He privately pulled a couple of the guys to the side and told them to cut it out. Then, he went straight to the young man privately, asked him if he needed some deodorant, and told him, “I will bring you some tomorrow.

”The next morning, he followed through and handed it to him.

As a father, my heart is completely full. Seeing my son stand up for someone’s dignity and handle a tough situation with so much maturity lets me know he is going to lead by God, not by other influences.

You can build businesses, open new stores, and chase dreams, but raising a young man with a protective heart and a backbone is the greatest accomplishment of my life.

Keep leading, son. Your dad has your back always! 👑💪🏾🔥

They said we couldn't get the funding, so we printed these shirts and hit the pavement. 8 years ago today, we were walking door-to-door across West Michigan with a dream and a $50 bill. This Friday, we pick up the keys to Store #2 in Twelve Oaks Mall. Novi, we are carrying every single person who bought a shirt back then with us! 🍿🥖✨

We are incredibly blessed and grateful to have our journey featured on WOOD TV 8! From starting with pure faith and a dream to packing our local Grand Rapids shop to "standing room only," God has been faithful every single step of the way.

Talk about perfect timing! Facebook just hit me with these memories from exactly 8 years ago today—August 24, 2018. 😭❤️

Long before the commercial storefronts, the television features, or our upcoming expansion into Twelve Oaks Mall, my family and I were literally walking door-to-door across West Michigan. We were selling gourmet kernels out of our home pocket and handing out these custom t-shirts: "I Supported Robinson's Popcorn Before They Were Poppin'!" 🍿👕

Look at the beautiful smiles on these faces. These incredible people didn't just buy a shirt or a bag of popcorn; they invested their hard-earned money into a dream. They believed in my family when we were operating on pure faith and a prayer.

To every single person who bought a shirt, opened their front door for us, or shared our name back then: look at what your early support helped build. We are still poppin', and we are carrying all of you with us to Novi! 🙌🏾
