As we near the kickoff of Butte’s Midweek, Downtown Summer Market Season #2, I want to share a little behind the market meaning.
During the Winter Market, last season, the goal of this market became very clear to me.
This is more than “just another market”. I have grown with these vendors, some from the very first market last Summer. Challenges were faced. Hurdles were jumped and most of all, connections are made.
The Vendor Village in the Butte Community Market is what real community is all about. I, myself, the organizer of BCM, but well before that, a vendor- and continue to be.
We all make and sell for different reasons and some of the same.
The Butte Community Market purpose is to offer an additional opportunity to local vendors and to grow community connections around it.
Join us every Wednesday, June 24th-August 19th from 4-7pm
at the Butte Community Market, we’re more than a place to shop. We’re a place to connect. Meet local makers, discover community resources, catch up with neighbors, let the kids play, and enjoy a midweek evening out.
