Twas the Night Before Wool Fest

Twas the night before Wool Fest and all through the fields,
The aroma of food vendors the evening air yields.
The big tents were set for the musical sounds,
With stages all ready on hallowed fairgrounds.

The sheep-shearing clippers were polished with care,
Awaiting the flocks that tomorrow would share.
The hundreds of crafters had laid out their goods,
From hand-dyed bright yarns to warm woolen hoods.

The Kids Zone was prepped for the giggles and fun,
With games and activities 'til the setting of sun.
The herding dogs dreamt of their whistles and calls,
Protecting their charges from dangers and falls.

With anticipation that warmed every heart,
We knew the best festival was ready to start!
So hurry on down when the morning light gleams,
For the Kentucky Wool Festival fulfills all your dreams!

Gates open tomorrow, Friday, Oct 3 & Saturday, Oct 4 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Oct 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

You have been asking so we are bringing it back, ediible COOKIE DOUGH! Available in a cone or a dish... going to be served in the smaller trailer along with an assortment of baked cookies. Floats will be moved and sold from the bigger trailer. It's going to be a COOKIE-LISIOUS kind of weekend..

WOOL FEST FOOD!

Are you ready for those famous Chicken -n- Dumplin's or BBQ, County Ham, Bean Soup, Cornbread, Mardi Gras Jambablaya or Wooly Potatoes?

Shall we talk about the DESSERTS? Fudge, Funnel Cakes, Candied Apples, Chocolate Dip Cheesecake, Freeze Dried Candies… Drinks like Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Root Beer, Cream Soda.

Apple Crisp Waffle Cone and frog legs (maybe not at the same time:) AND goetta just about any way you think of!

A big thank you to Southern Elementary PTO and NES Bobcat PTO for letting Curbside Sweet Shop be a part of welcoming your faculty and staff. Pendleton County's children are so very lucky to have all of those amazing teachers and staff be a part of their childhood. I'm sure it will be a great school year!!

It's going to be a lemonade kinda evening Saturday! Stop by for one of our well known 32oz lemonades or sweet tea. Bring the kids by for their favorite "ORIGINAL" Shark Water and parents, our iced latte will give you the pick up you'll need to enjoy the evening.. can't wait to see ya all!
