Happy Birthday to not only my coworker, well our co-worker but one of my very best friends, my weekend partner in crime, and honestly, a piece of my family. ❤️
It’s funny how someone can walk into your life because of a job and somewhere along the way, you completely forget that’s even how it started. You just become family. And that’s exactly what you are to me.
I truly don’t know what I would do without you. You bring so much laughter, love, joy, and just the right amount of chaos into my life. You’re the person who makes the hard days lighter, the good days better, and the weekends something I look forward to. You show up. You love big. You listen. You can make me laugh until my stomach hurts. And somehow, just by being you, you make the people around you feel a little more loved.
And I absolutely love how often people ask us if we’re sisters because they think we look alike. We always laugh about it, but honestly, there’s something about it that makes my heart happy. Because somewhere along the way, you really did become the sister life let me choose. So when someone asks us if we’re sisters, I always say, “Not by blood, but in every way that actually matters.”
I hope you know how rare that is.
And listen… I could probably handle you being beautiful. I could even overlook the great personality. But the fact that you got that fire 🍑 feels a little excessive. 😂 Like hello friend, leave something for the rest of us. Some of us are out here depending heavily on caffeine, Botox, and a good personality. 😂
But underneath all the jokes, I hope you really understand this part:
You matter to me. A lot. You matter to us!!!
Not because of what you do. Not because you work beside us. Not because you make us laugh. Simply because you are you.
When I look back on this chapter of my life, you are in so many memories. The laughs behind the counter. The weekend shenanigans. The conversations nobody else would understand. The hard days we got through together. The completely ridiculous moments that somehow became my favorites.
You’ve been there through some chapters of my life that weren’t easy, and I don’t think I could ever fully explain what it has meant to know that I had you beside me. There are people who are around when life is fun, and then there are people who quietly become part of your safe place. You are one of mine.
Someday we’ll be older, probably still inappropriate, definitely still drinking coffee, and telling the same stories for the 500th time and I hope you’re sitting right there beside me laughing just as hard.
Because somewhere along the way, you stopped being someone I worked with and became someone I simply couldn’t imagine doing life without.
Happy Birthday to one of the most beautiful souls I know. I hope this year gives you back even a fraction of the love, happiness, and laughter you give everyone around you.
