A lot of people ask why we didn’t put a bigger grill on the new food trailer to cook more burgers at once — and the answer really comes down to timing and quality.

Mike can fit 10 patties on the grill at one time, and with smashburgers, everything happens FAST, especially with the grill being 375-400 degrees! By the time he places and smashes all 10 meatballs, the very first patty is already ready to be flipped. Each side only cooks for less than two minutes, which is what gives our burgers those crispy edges while still keeping the inside juicy and flavorful. However, those edges can BURN if not flipped quick enough.

After the flip, cheese goes on, patties are stacked, buns get toasted, lids get closed, and the order gets called out fresh to our customers. From start to finish, the whole process only takes about 3-4 minutes.

We will never sacrifice quality over quantity. That is why we do not precook our burgers and keep them in a warmer like many fast food chains. We hope you find the wait worthwhile once you take that first bite. Thank you for your continued support! 🍔🇺🇸😊

We want to sincerely thank the amazing people of Butler for the tremendous support of IRONMIKES Foodtruck. We truly appreciate everyone who waited in line and came out to support us at Foodie Fridays!

We hope you enjoyed the burgers just as much as we enjoyed meeting and serving all of you. The energy, kindness, and community support is what made I choose to move back to Butler to begin our small business.

A special shoutout to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to organize and make Foodie Fridays such a success. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and do not go unnoticed.

Thank you again, Butler — we can’t wait to see you all again next month!
