I am doing a pickup tomorrow, Monday the 12th, from 12pm-3pm at Root Down Farm, 204 East-West Blvd, Burnsville-- right behind the McDonald's. I'll be bringing surplus produce and can also take pre-orders, message me if interested in putting an order in! I'll have lots of lettuce, arugula, carrots, radishes, sungold cherry tomatoes, kale, chard and more! Come get your fix since we all missed out on our beloved Yancey County Farmer’s Market this week.

Not always sunshine and lollipops, cows get out, plants get eaten, but there is never a lack of entertainment at Root Down! Don’t worry, they’re back on fresh pasture and we’re ready to rock here at the Depot.

It’s French Fry Friday today from 12-7! Come get your weekly dose of hand cut tallow fries before they sell out!

Happy Thursday!

Today we are all set up at Root Down Depot from 10-4!

We’re running the Seven Seeds Farm delicata squash Salad on special today and tomorrow! It comes with apples out of Hendersonville, Salanova lettuce mix, toasted sunflower seeds, goat cheese, an herbed organic yogurt and a basil-thyme vinaigrette.

It might be its last run, but we’ve got a bumper crop of tomatoes so it calls for a BLT!

Comes with Root Down Basil Aioli, Green Toe Ground head lettuce, Hickory Nut Gap and served on heaterhousebakery sourdough.

Limited quantities so come grab one before it’s gone!

On special tonight at Homeplace B**r Company the mushroom, onion, and goat grilled cheese. It comes with upper forty forest and farm mushrooms, caramelized onions, goat cheese, sharp cheddar, local greens, and a Root Down Herb aioli. Of course it’s on heaterhousebakery sourdough! Come grab one before they’re gone!
