💰 COME MAKE MONEY WITH US. 💰
⚠️ Fair warning: we move fast around here. 😂

We just keep getting busier, and now that the boats are coming off the water, we’re heading into our even busier season — which means we need more help!

We’re hiring all positions:
Cooks, servers, bartenders, and bussers with hours available Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Hours depend on the position.

We’re a busy, fast-paced bar and restaurant, which means some shifts are going to feel like somebody kicked an anthill. We need people who can move, work hard, help each other out, keep smiling, and not disappear the second the dining room fills up.

If you want to work hard, make good money, laugh a lot, and occasionally wonder how 47 people all decided to walk in at exactly the same time, you’ll probably fit right in.

Experience is great. A good attitude, common sense, and a willingness to hustle are even better.

Happy Sunday, peeps! 🍻 It was SO good to be back behind the bar with our amazing regulars today. I missed you lunatics. ❤️

Jeff and Ester made another AMAZING fish boil, and we celebrated Cindy’s birthday with food, cake, and a SOUL TRAIN LINE. Most people get a card. Cindy got people risking their knees for her entertainment. 🥳

Dawn and Dave also made Jeff an official SUGGESTION BOX sign for his fish boil firepit. He’s finally got somewhere to file complaints about my bartending. Your feedback is important to us, Jeff. Please submit it directly into the flames. 🔥😂

Desiree missed everything because she was hungover on the couch. We had cake and dancing. She had a blanket and consequences.

Even Justice couldn’t ruin the day. There’s always next Sunday, buddy.

It’s early. Have your coffee. Look at your to-do list. Decide which tasks can be postponed by simply saying, “We’ve got plans.”

There. Now you’ve got plans. Lunch at Countryside with Dave and Sue.

By lunchtime, you’ll have had plenty of time to accomplish something—or move the same pile of stuff to a different room and call it cleaning. Either way, you deserve lunch.

Come hungry, bring your favorite person, and catch up on what’s happening around the neighborhood. If you don’t know what’s happening, somebody here will. Whether they were involved or not. 😂

Well, look at us getting fancy on Homes.com! 👀

“Countryside Pub is a community institution…” Pretty sure that means drinking at Countryside counts as community service and Dave’s face will be on the town seal now.

We’re proud to live, work and serve right here in Bohners Lake—the neighborhood we love, filled with some of the best neighbors around. Thank you for making Countryside feel like so much more than just a bar. ❤️ We look forward to being institutionalized with all of you.

FISH BOIL THIS SUNDAY. NOON. 🐟

I’m posting this now so nobody can say, “Nobody told me.” You’ve been told. In writing. On the internet. Where Burlington gets all its most reliable information.

Jeff and Ester are running the boil, and the fish is DELICIOUS. Your dinner comes with carrots, potatoes, onions, coleslaw, rye bread, drawn butter, and dessert. It’s a full Sunday meal for $18. You can tell yourself the carrots make it balanced while adding more butter. We support you.

Dee will be serving in the dining room. Sara will be behind the bar. Dave will be in the kitchen, where he belongs. We’ve assigned everyone a position, and for once we’d appreciate it if Dave stayed in his.

Fish boil starts at noon this Sunday, September 27, and we do it only on the last Sunday of the month. So if you’ve been saying, “We should try that sometime,” this is sometime. Put it on the calendar before you accidentally agree to help somebody move a couch.

Come hungry. Bring your people. Bring the neighbor who knows everybody’s business but somehow still hasn’t heard about our fish boil.

We’ve missed his face, his cooking, and having him around to give us all a hard time. Hopefully he’s coming home rested, because we’ve got a week’s worth of talking his ear off to catch up on. 😂
