Had my little guy up at On The Rocks today showing off what we’ve been working on. 🎃

We’re officially decorated for Halloween, and Old Town has a Halloween-themed Night Market this Saturday so if you’re coming out, make a night of it and come see us for dinner!

And yes, I know it’s not even Halloween yet 😂 but I’m going to throw this out there now — if you’re thinking about a Christmas party, family dinner or holiday get-together, get your private room reservation in early. We go ALL OUT for Christmas, and that room tends to fill up fast once the holidays get closer. 🎄

For now though… we’ll stick with the ghosts and pumpkins. 👻

Chef Kent… “Oh nothing much I’m just sitting here with my brother & chef José Andrés drinking w**e and cooking paella- having the best time!”

Never a good night when you’re the last one to leave and it wasn’t a smooth night…

Tonight was our first night running our full menu at On The Rocks, and I owe some of you an apology.

A ton of our guests had a wonderful night, and we’re incredibly thankful for that. But for some of you, our kitchen got backed up and the wait for your food was simply too long. If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant you know that a kitchen on a busy night is like dominoes …once it starts it backing up it snowballs quickly…

If you are one of the ones who experienced our traffic jam tonight… I’m so very sorry.

I know dinner out isn’t always “just dinner.” It might be a date night, a birthday, a night you found a babysitter, or simply the one night you were looking forward to all week. You trusted us with part of that night, and for some of you, we didn’t deliver the experience I wanted you to have.

From the bottom of my heart… I’m very sorry. I tried to talk to each one of you and apologize personally, buy you a cocktail, comp the entire meal if need be … I know a few I missed though.

If that’s you reach out to me… I want to make it right and invite you back so I can be sure you have the experience we are capable of giving you in this restaurant.

If tonight was awesome… I’m so glad to hear that! Please leave us a review telling us so! If tonight wasn’t…. Please reach out to me before you decide on your review and if you’ll be coming back. I’d love the chance for you to have the dinner here you deserve and we want to provide to you.

Burleson has been so supportive of us and it truly kills me that the busiest night we have ever had here and 1st night of our full menu…. it’s the night our kitchen gets backed up.

Hey Burleson! Jason here …

It still feels pretty crazy to say we’re officially Burleson residents AND finally open here in Old Town.

I shot this little video this morning out by our herb garden at On The Rocks. After months of construction, opening craziness and driving back and forth, getting to walk over in the morning and check on the restaurant feels pretty darn good.

And for everyone who came to see us during our opening weeks — the FULL menu is officially here!

We’re having a lot of fun getting to know this community, so if you haven’t stopped in yet, come see us. And if you have, thank you. Burleson has been incredibly good to our family already.

Excited to see On The Rocks Italian Bistro getting some love from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

I’ve had a great time working alongside the team to help bring this restaurant to life in Old Town Burleson. The menu has a few nods to my past including a new take on the lobster shooter from the Abacus days but we’re also building something completely new here.

Great steaks, Italian influence, a little live-fire attitude, and food that’s meant to be an experience.

Proud to be part of the team and looking forward to what’s ahead at On The Rocks.
