A customer and friend reached out and asked if I could make a 45th Anniversary cake. Chocolate on the inside vanilla butter cream on the outside. No decorations needed but I didn’t listen to that part 🤣 Still a simple decoration but no plain Jane here.

Baked by request. Of course we used haytonfarms Strawberries to make this gem of a pie.
Our awesome customer also preferred a crumble topping over a traditional lattice. So here she is! Thank you to the Columbia City Farmer’s market and Mariposa Farm for the rhubarb and excellent taste in produce. 🍓 🥧

Okay, so. I’m obviously a huge fan of baking things. I’m also a huge fan of food and cooking in general.

My favorite thing to make and then eat is homemade fresh pasta. I don’t make it often and very few people have tasted it and sometimes I think I need to change that. But then I get distracted by other creations.

Just like the snacklebox seen here. These are so fun to make and share with good company. I personally love everything in this snack attack because there’s alittle something for everyone.

We have sweet. We have sour. We have salty. We have meaty. We have cheesy. We have vinegary. We have chewy. We have crunchy. We have buttery. All the things. And then wrapped up in a portable tackle-box (🐠) aka snackle-box aka caboodle from the late eighty’s.

Snacklebox’s are the s**t. Sometimes maybe this should be my business model… 🤔

First time making an all shortening crust with a baked lemon curd. Not a big fan of rolling out this dough but boy did my audience love it. Baked curd is also an interesting technique. The top got baked golden brown for a crunchy finish. I’d be surprised if there’s any left at this point!
