If you’ve been meaning to try Rustic Roots in Bunn but could never get a reservation, tonight might be your night.

Hell, try tomorrow night too.

And for folks who are close, you can walk in.

You can also crawl in, do a little dance in, or slide in. 

When we called to make ours, a little birdie told us they had plenty of seats available, so go get yourself a burger or a steak. Wear your shorts. Wear that old T shirt from the band you like.

Nobody’s gonna judge you.

Unless you don’t tip.

Then we’re all judging you.

🎉 SIX YEARS OF RUSTIC ROOTS! 🎉

Tonight marks six years since we opened the doors of Rustic Roots, and more than anything, we just feel incredibly grateful. ❤️

We opened on August 12, 2020, right in the middle of COVID, and somehow through all the ups and downs of these last six years, this little dream of ours has continued to grow. And that is because of all of you.

To our customers and our community — thank you. Thank you for showing up, for choosing to spend your evenings with us, for celebrating your birthdays, anniversaries and special moments around our tables, for telling your friends about us, and for coming back again and again. Your support has carried us farther than you probably realize, and we never want to take that for granted.

To our staff — past and present — thank you. There are people on our team who have been with us for most of this journey, and we are so grateful for their loyalty and hard work. And a very special thank you to Jacq and Naomi, who have been with us since DAY ONE. They believed in our dream, believed in Russ and me, jumped in with us from the very beginning and haven’t looked back. We love you both and are so thankful you’ve been beside us through it all. ❤️

We are grateful for every single person on our team who works hard every day, both in front of the house and behind the scenes, to bring our guests our very best. Rustic Roots would not be what it is without the people who pour their hearts into it every day.

And of course, we are so thankful for our local farmers, growers and suppliers who make it possible for us to do what we set out to do from the beginning — serve great food while supporting the people right here in our own community. A special thank you to Tar Banks Brewing Co. and The Vollmer Farm who have been supplying us and supporting us since day one. And there are so many others that have joined us since.. We are proud of the relationships we have built with so many wonderful local farms and businesses over these six years.

When we started Rustic Roots, we wanted to create a place centered around great food, local ingredients, community and genuine hospitality. Six years later, those things still mean just as much to us as they did on the day we opened.

So tonight, we’re celebrating six years, but mostly we’re celebrating and thanking all of YOU who helped us get here.

From Russ and me (Vanessa), thank you for believing in us, supporting us and allowing us to serve this community we love. We are so grateful for these first six years and looking forward to many, many more. ❤️
