Had some pretty good bbq at Southern Fried Championship Wrestling tonight

I always have a good time there, but now you can get better than average bbq too

Hey guys, it’s been pretty much a year since we closed up shop…really miss some of y’all (but my aim is improving 😃)

I had a friend ask me for some sauce and was wondering if anybody else wanted some while I’m cooking. $5/pint still seems right, but I’d have to work in cash (let me see about my Venmo)

If enough folks want it, I’ll do a batch of regular, spicy, mustard and maybe even some Lexington 😃

You know what, I probably should have posted this before today, but it’s not too late to make it for lunch tomorrow, you just gotta step to it 😜

Happy Thanksgiving from the Hog Boss

Carrot soufflé
1 lb baby carrots, peeled
1/2 c melted butter
3 eggs
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 c light brown sugar
3 Tbsp plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract (Miss Imitation, if you’re nasty)

Boil carrots until fork tender. The more well done, the smoother the soufflé

Combine the hot carrots and the butter in a food processor until smooth

Add remaining ingredients and process until smooth. I use a normal greased casserole dish

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45-60 minutes until the center stops jiggling and a toothpick inserted there comes back clean

Hey guys, the sale of equipment went fast (there is a small soul food joint near Macon that’s gonna have a real PTL vibe). It went so well that I have have put everything left together and decided I don’t need to make another dollar

Here is some stuff…I will be giving away everything with a few exceptions. I will put up a bucket and any proceeds will go straight to Alicia, who is having a hard time replacing a job which fits her schedule. She has one great reference 😉

The racks are really heavy duty and are $50 ea. Each rack used to hold hundreds of lbs of meats and veggies, it’s a great way to store all your junk in your garage or shop. Sorry, the wheeled ones are spoken for. I will put your names on them for folks who want to guarantee they have one and empty them and we can schedule pickup Saturday afternoon or during a short window on Sunday

Once again, almost everything you see here is FREE, FREE, FREE!!!!!

I’ll be here from 10am to 1pm this Saturday. Come by to say hello and a proper goodby and see if there is anything you want

“Aye God, it’s been a party, ain’t it?”
Gus McCall, Lonesome Dove
Yup…one hell of a great party.

The rumors are true, after ten years, the consumption of much swine and soufflé, 4/30/22 is our last day in operation. The lease is up and just like the way God made it clear that I was to open PTL, he’s given the “wrap it up” sign

Thank you all. You’ve made it a joy. Thank you for coming, for spending your time and money with us, for giving me an opportunity to try this dream and for letting us last long enough to know it was no fluke

God bless y’all. New parties await for us all😃
