Sometimes we get a little down about not being the newest, or the most popular, or the fanciest. But then a kind soul shows up at the door with a card that says things like, “thank you for kind servers who make us feel welcome. Thank you for happy hour drink specials that teachers can afford. Thank you for a delicious menu.” Way back when we got the sage advice from a successful long time restaurant owner; he told us, “just be nice.” and it’s so uplifting to see that we’ve done well by that advice. So while we might not be the newest, fanciest, most popular place in town, we are the nicest. ❤️

‼️ chicken pot pie is back and here to stay ‼️ you’ll find these scratch made (just like your mom used to make) beauties on the front of our menu. We also have the option to turn any of our soups into a pot pie! 🥧 you heard that right vegetarians, there is even pot pie for you. With our rotating cast of soups, there is always a new pot pie to try.

We're now making ricotta in-house for our cannolis and as a garnish for this delicious roasted butternut and sage soup. Coming soon- mushroom ricotta tarts!

A little “meet the owners” since many of you know our faces but may not know much about us.

We’re Kelli and Daniela. Today is our 7th wedding anniversary, and naturally, we’ll be celebrating by spending the day together at Amalie.

Working.

We met working in the service industry 9 years ago. Kelli is Amalie’s Executive Chef, and Daniela also serves as the Executive Director of a local nonprofit. Somewhere in between all of that, we own and operate this little restaurant together.

Before Amalie, there was Masa; our little taco truck and our first adventure in owning a food business together. We started that with our own savings, and Amalie was built the same way: slowly, personally, and with a whole lot of hard work.

We’re here nearly every day, and that’s one of the things we love most about owning an independent restaurant in this magical small town. It’s personal. The people who walk through our doors are our neighbors, friends, regulars and community.

Seven years married, nearly three years of small-business ownership together, and still pretty lucky to get to build it here. We love our lives and each other so if you see us around town give us a high five.

Fall at Amalie means cozy evenings, new food specials, and a few lower prices.

We’ve added seasonal dishes including our chef’s specialty seafood chowder and a scratch-made Caesar, with the same focus on quality ingredients and food made with care.

And because we want Amalie to remain an easy choice for BV locals, you’ll now find an $8 glass in every w**e category, $6 beers, and great weekday happy hour specials.

Come for dinner. Come for a glass of w**e. Come for date night or a midweek bite. You’ll find great food, warm service, and a team of locals who are genuinely happy to take care of our neighbors.

Hey friends! A little update: we closed last week to add some new kitchen equipment which will allow us to make food faster, add new menu items, and have TWO cooks working during peak times. We need to re-organize and prep the kitchen and we're scrambling to be open by Fri 9/25. We appreciate your patience and we can't wait to see you again!

The first of our renovation stuff has arrived and we are gearing up for our upcoming closure. Come visit us tonight and tomorrow before we close up shop for a sprucing up. We will be closed September 13 - 23!
