Elm Grove Elementary had some very special guests on campus last week! Students got to meet Lucy the dairy cow and learn all about dairy farming with Chad Saunders from Southwest Dairy Farmers.

The Mobile Dairy Farm gave students a hands-on look at how milk makes its way from the farm to their table, while helping them learn more about dairy and nutrition.

A big thank you to Chad and Lucy for bringing this fun learning experience to Elm Grove! We loved having you visit!

Important School Meal Application Reminder!
The Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application grace period ends September 25th. If you currently receive free or reduced-price meal benefits and want to keep your status, please be sure to complete a new application.

This will NOT affect CACFP Afterschool Supper Meals. Students who qualify for CACFP supper meals will continue to receive those meals.

The following campuses do NOT need to submit a new application:
• Blanco Vista Elementary School
• Camino Real Elementary School
• Tom Green Elementary School
• Hemphill Elementary School
• Science Hall Elementary School
• Tobias Elementary School
• Uhland Elementary School
• Chapa Middle School
• Simon Middle

If your student attends one of these campuses, no application is needed to receive their current meal benefits.
