We know many of you missed this event last year, and we're excited to bring it back to Buchanan in 2026! We have teamed up with Sky High Reggae, Lazy Man Dub Band, and other talented reggae artists to bring you a night packed with live entertainment right by the river.

Enjoy great music, delicious food, local vendors, and an unforgettable evening by the James River. Join us for one of Buchanan’s favorite summer events.

We started breakfast about a 1.5 years ago here at Mrs B’s and it has steadily grown. But I said then I would only be open on Sunday if I had people to work and it did not interfere with my church. Well that day has come.I will not give up up Jesus or ask my staff that goes to church to give up Jesus to open this restaurant for a few dollars. My faith, foundation, and morals mean more. So starting next Sunday June 7th we will be pausing breakfast hours. Until I can find someone that can fill that position. Sundays will be lunch and dinner only. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support. I appreciate all of you and my staff that continue to support me and my belief in Jesus more than you know!

Let’s do a did you know.

Did you know Jeremiah Gibson has been with us on and off in the kitchen for over 2 years. Almost since the beginning. He started the breakfast for us here Mrs.B’s Restaurant and Bar. He is the one we turn to when things needs to be fixed. Jeremiah will be leaving Mrs B’s in a few weeks. Help us give him a warm farewell.

I’m so sorry I missed the JRHS SENIOR GRADUATING CLASS PARADE. I’m currently out of town!
Seniors I wish all the warm wishes and best of luck and will praying for you in your next season of life! Now put those caps on today and take it all in! So proud of all of you!!

I use to do “ did you know “ on Tuesdays. I’m going to start those again but about my staff. Because I do not highlight them enough and let’s face it if not for them I could not be Mrs.B’s Restaurant and Bar.
So let’s start with our veteran miss Natalie Lemon.
Did you know Natalie has be with Mrs. B’s since day one. That’s right. She was just a baby. Had no idea what she was in for. She thought she couldn’t even pick up a bucket of water. I said girl you better try. Now she picks up buckets of ice. I think she went home crying more times than not. But she hung in there. Never gave up. She was in school for radiology, it didn’t work out. I seen how good she was with numbers and suggested she tried accounting. And let me tell you, that girl is rocking it. Natalie is my, well we will say general manager. I tell my staff what ever she says you listen. Even at the young age of 20 she is a natural leader. Every guest she serves loves her service and smile. We love miss Natalie here at Mrs. B’s and are so thankful for her continued dedication and work ethic! Not sure what we would do without her!!
Make sure you give her a big at on the back the next time you stop by!!

I want to give a huge thank you to my staff yesterday!!
It was the first Mother’s Day without my mother. I thought I could handle it and I did but I didn’t with grace and patience. Those two things I did not have. So on one of the most “ Karen “ of all “ Karen” days in this industry, thank you to my work family!! I couldn’t have done it with out y’all!!
