Screech Owl Brewing is the first Licensed Brewery in the history of Preston County, West Virginia since it was founded in 1818. Located on our family farm, 5.3 miles off Inter-state Highway I-68, exit no. 29-- in the mountains of Preston County West Virginia. Opening September 4, 2015 after 3 years of working on the construction and licensing. We are a 10 barrel micro-brewery producing 800 to 1

000 barrels of beer a year. All our breads are baked on site and made using our spent grain from the brewing process. You can also enjoy our beer in 16 oz cans and draft at a variety of restaurants, bars and stores in a 7 county area around the brewery and 2 counites in Western Maryland. We use all natural ingredients, no preservatives or pasteurization in our brewing process. Our products must be kept cold. Stop by and see if we can make you a believer in local beer. Jim Truman will be here from 5 to 7 with his music and wit. From Morgantown, WV, Jim started playing in public in the 70’s and he has opened for many numerous artists such as Stephen Stills, Leon Russell and John Sebastian. While living in Colorado, he worked for nine years traveling the country as a stand-up comedian. Many comics he has worked with during that time were Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Roseanne Bar to name a few. So come on out and enjoy Jim's music and wit. CHEERS

Remind everyone that Screech Owl Brewing./Smashers Sweets & Eats are NO longer open on Thursday. We have Moved the Wings and Lasagna Special to Fridays starting at 2 pm. Yep!!! We are opening at 2 pm instead of 3 on Fridays now.
FRIDAY - 2 to 8 pm. Wings and Lasagna Special along with full Smashers Menu. JIM TRUMAN is back to provide the music from 5 to 7 pm, with Bar closing at 8 pm.
SATURDAY --Noon to 8 pm. --Special CAJUN BOAR BURGER with spicy peach sauce topped with cheddar cheese , served with in house malt vinegar chips sprinkled with Cajun seasoning. Full Menu available. RECKART HOLLOW bring the house down with their music 4 to pm.

Spring Changing to Summer this month. Screech Owl Brewing has a change or two also. The restaurant is no longer open on Thursday but is opening an hour sooner on Friday (2 to 8 pm,) Our beer lineup is transitioning into lighter, lower alcohol brands for a better lawn mowing beer experience. Our Core Brands: Bold Blonde Ale, Wild & Wonderful Strawberry Ale, Hoo's Your Daddy Ipa and others are still with us the same as they have been for years . Add on The Trail Rider Lager Series for a lighter, lower alcohol choice (3.9 % ABV &123 calories) along with the newest EL Jefe Mexican Style Lager (4.3% ABV) and the excitement grows for the brewery and you. Every canned beer is now pasteurized, making them shelf stable, warm storable and displayable warm. Going into our 11th year Screech Owl Brewing is still ALL about you-- Friends, Family & Quality. Restaurant open Friday 2 to 8 pm, Saturdays 12 to 8 pm.

This week at the Owl we are making a few CHANGES.. We are canceling Thursday Wings and Pizza nights and moving everything to Friday. SO what does that mean??? It means we will be Open On Fridays (2 TO 8) and Saturdays (NOON TO 8 ) only. Full Menu both days. Kitchen closing at 7 pm BOTH DAYS. We are adding a SENIORS DISCOUNT (60 Yrs and up) OF 10% off from 2 to 5 on Fridays, food only, all drinks at regular price. So there is no confusion, Screech Owl Brewing will open today Friday the 12th at 1:30. WVU Baseball Playoffs starts at 2:00. Kitchen and Bar will open with full menu and a Beer Battered JUMBO Shrimp w/ Fries, Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw Special at 1:30. Ronnie Smith and Friends will be here to perform from 4 to 7. Hurry in and get a good seat early for the first pitch. Wear your WVU Best and support and enjoy the Mountaineers World Class Baseball at the Owl. Please share and bring a friend.

Screech Owl Brewing will be open at 1:30 so you can get in here, get comfortable and watch the game.. The kitchen will open at 1:30 ALSO. We will HAVE plenty of Sodas, Ice Tea, Wine and Screech Owl Beer available. Share this and invite your friends to meet you at the Owl for an afternoon of WVU baseball.
