Sometimes the best recommendations come from people who have already been there.

Roderick and Que drove over from San Angelo for two reasons: to have their vehicle serviced at Brownwood Ford and to finally try the place they had heard so much about—Underwood's Cafeteria.

Mission accomplished.

As you can tell from the clean plates, the trip lived up to the hype.

"This peach cobbler is amazing," said Roderick. "And the BBQ is deeelicious!"

We're always honored when guests make a special trip to visit us, and we're especially grateful when they leave as friends.

Thank you, Roderick and Que, for spending part of your day with us. We hope the next time you're headed to Brownwood, Underwood's is already on the schedule.

Our June Facebook Special from Underwood's Bar-B-Q serves 10–12 people and includes:

• 3 lbs. chopped BBQ
• 12 buns
• Sauce, pickles, onions, and sweet relish
• Large cole slaw
• Large bag of Ruffles chips

All for just $42.99.

The Underwood's Cafeteria Family is proud to congratulate our longtime friend, Dallas Huston, on his induction into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame as the 2026 Dave Campbell Contributor to the Game.

Dallas's impact extends far beyond the microphone. His dedication to Brownwood High School, Howard Payne University, and the countless athletes, coaches, students, and fans he has encouraged through the years has left an enduring legacy throughout Texas.
