We've welcomed a whole lot of new followers this year, so I figured it was time to re-introduce myself.
I'm Matthew, the owner of Backyard Burger. Most days you'll find me behind the grill, smashing patties and making sure every burger is served fresh.
Four years ago, I bought Backyard Burger with a whole lot of hope, a few big dreams, and not much experience in the restaurant business. I didn't have a background in food service or a business degree, but I did have a passion for great food and a love for the community that raised me.
I live right here in Brooten, and my goal has always been simple: keep Backyard Burger a place where friends, families, sports teams, school kids, travelers, and neighbors can pull up a chair, grab a great meal, and make a few memories along the way.
Thankfully, I haven't done it alone. I'm lucky to work alongside an incredible team, have family that's always willing to jump in when needed, and friends and customers who continue to support us with their time, encouragement, and hard-earned dollars.
Looking back, I never could've imagined what Backyard Burger would become. From the stories shared across the picnic tables to watching kids celebrate ball games through the window, and seeing so many groups choose us for their gatherings, those are the moments that make it all worth it.
Backyard Burger has always been built on fresh, quality food, friendly faces, and creating a place that feels like your own backyard.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting this dream over the last four years. Every order, every visit, every share, and every kind word means more than you know.
We'll keep bringing the burgers, you keep bringing the appetite.
