The first coffee we ever served, in the back of the barbershop where Parlor began, was Colombian. On the morning of August 10, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the west of the country. Nearly 300 people have died and more than 12,000 homes are gone.
We're grateful that our producer partners in the south came through largely unharmed. But coffee is the smallest part of this story. A country we've worked alongside since our first day is grieving, and thousands of families are starting over with nothing.
We cover the coffee, the shipping and the fees, so every dollar arrives whole. The Red Cross is on the ground with shelter, mobile health teams, clean water, and cash directly to families.
