It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our beloved Brooklyn store later this spring. After 15 wonderful years, our lease has ended, and the building will be demolished to make way for new apartments.
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Brooklyn has been more than just a restaurant. It’s been a place for friends, families, first dates, celebrations, and plenty of unforgettable nights in Gowanus.
But what really made this place special wasn’t just the building.
It was the people.
To our Brooklyn staff, past and present. You showed up every day with grit, pride, and that Dinosaur hospitality. You built something real here, and we are incredibly proud of you.
To our regulars and the Gowanus community, thank you for welcoming us into your neighborhood and making us part of the rhythm of Brooklyn.
While it’s never easy to say goodbye to a place like this, we are incredibly grateful for every guest, every regular, and every team member who helped make Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Brooklyn what it is.
We don’t have a final service date just yet, but we’ll share it as soon as we do.
Until then, we’d love to see you.
Come grab a rack of ribs, a plate of brisket, a cold drink at the bar, and help us send this place off the right way.
And this isn’t goodbye forever. You can always find us up in Harlem, along with our other Upstate New York locations.
Gift cards will be honored at the Brooklyn location through its final day of service and at all remaining Dinosaur Bar-B-Que locations thereafter.
