Right down the street from Maria Hernandez Park and the Jefferson L train stop sits “Arepera Guacuco”, Bushwick’s Venezuelan spot for arepas, empanadas, juices, and drinks. The Village Voice’s Best Venezuelan Restaurant in New York City, Guacuco started just a few years back as a family affair. Chef Carmen and her son Leonardo Molina brought some of the best Caribbean Cuisine from Venezuela’s Margarita Island right to the heart of Bushwick’s growing international community.

After 10 years we are closed for the day. We are renovating our home Guacuco. Adding more seating space and making our kitchen a little bigger now. Thank you all for the years of love 🙏

We are also happy to announce that we just renewed our lease and there are more arepas and empanadas to come for many, many years ahead 💪

Despues de 10 años estamos cerrados por hoy. Estamos renovando nuestro hogar "Guacuco". Tendremos más asientos para uds (menos espera los fines de semana) y expandiendo un poco nuestra cocina 😎

Estamos mega contentos que acabamos de renovar nuestro contrato (lease) por muchos muchos años más. Mas empanadas de cazón para Nueva York y Arepas de reina pepiada. Siempre poniendo nuestra Venezuela en alto 🇻🇪
