How often do we cry, "Lord, if you can do anything..." Our cry should be, "Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief!"

God hears our cry and today through the Word and Sacrament he restores our faith! He has not just done anything, he has saved us from sin and death, that is everything!

Today I am blessed to celebrate twenty years in pastoral ministry. It hasn't always been easy or fun, but it has always been a blessing. I pray that I have blessed others half as much as I have been blessed by the congregations I have served. There are many memories, tears, and laughs. I am guessing over 900 sermons and bible classes. And many baptisms, weddings, confirmations, first communions, and funerals. I have tried to be faithful, knowing I would fail. I have learned to lean into God's grace for me and be willing to share it with those around me.
Through it all, it has been my prayer to do nothing but preach Christ crucified and resurrected for us.
