After nearly 30 years, Alex Kotretsos and family will transfer the ownership of Chestnuthill Diner to a new family. This change was made effective Wednesday, October 12th.

Coming from Greece knowing little to no English, Alex took the risk of opening a restaurant of his own. Because of your continuous support and patronage, he was not only able to live out his dream, but was fortunate enough to create unforgettable memories and life long friendships.

Although this chapter of his life comes to a close, we will never forget our loyal customers and dedicated employees who have been with us since the beginning. We have been honored to serve the community and wish nothing but success to the new owners.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare breakfast and lunch food
- Prep food for service (ie. chopping vegetables, butchering/slicing meat, or preparing sauces)
- Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is clean, set up, and stocked
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Work with servers to ensure that orders are completed timely and according to request
- Comply with nutrition sanitation regulations and safety standards

Qualifications:

- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook

- Welcomes guests after they are seated while exhibiting a professional attitude
- Take and serve orders, as well as phone orders
- Learn the menu for on-demand recitation and questions about ingredients and pricing
- Effectively communicate with kitchen staff to ensure that food is promptly and properly prepared for guests
- Assist in maintaining a clean and stocked service station during the shift
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance and seat tables as needed
