Since this has now been made public, we feel itโs necessary to clarify a few things.
We did not refuse service because of a โpersonal grudge,โ nor do we refuse service to people simply because we โdonโt likeโ them. We made a business decision based on a prior situation involving these individuals and their actions toward our business.
We have every right to decide who we will and will not serve in our privately owned restaurant, particularly when someone has previously made serious allegations against our business and our family that were investigated and found to have no basis for further action.
You are absolutely entitled to take your business elsewhere. We are equally entitled to decide that your business is not welcome at ours.
Weโre going to continue serving our community, taking care of our customers, and running our business the right way. We won't be bullied into accepting people who have actively tried to harm our business, and we certainly won't be shamed into doing so by wrapping the situation in a story about puppies and volunteer pilots.
We had remained quiet out of professionalism, not because we have nothing to say. There is a significant difference.
