A surprise recognition!

As Nick was gathering the crew and loading up the food truck this morning, he was met with a very special surprise! Thank you to the City of Brighton and Brighton PD for this unexpected recognition of our Slice Out Hunger efforts and our commitment to this incredible community.

This one is especially meaningful because every decision we make, every late night, and every bit of hard work is rooted in giving back to the community that’s given us so much.

From the start, it has always been Nick’s dream to be “the pie that gives a slice back.” 🍕🫶

To feel that appreciation and support from our community means more than we can put into words. It reminds us why we do what we do and fuels us to keep on showing up.

WE'RE BACK OPEN!! 🎉

It's been one BUSY month, from Nick's birthday, to our biggest Taste Of Brighton yet (and all the preparations leading up to it!), to our annual summer closure, and wrapping it all up by celebrating Nick & Lauren's first wedding anniversary!

While the Captain and his wife are celebrating in true Pure Michigan fashion with an anniversary getaway on Mackinac Island, our incredible crew is back serving up the good vibes (and pizza 🍕, coffee ☕️, MI spirits 🍹).

Stop in, show them some love, and tell them Nick & Lauren say THANK YOU for keeping the ship sailing while they're away. We couldn't do it without this amazing crew. 🫶

We worked so hard for this. 💛

To our Captain's crew, our incredible live music performers, our pop-up partners, festival volunteers, Believe In Brighton, our fellow downtown businesses, our loyal customers, and this amazing community, everyone involved...THANK YOU for the biggest and most successful Taste Of Brighton yet!

After weeks of very late nights, nonstop work, festivals, food truck events and practically living at Captain's all weekend, followed by a full day of festival cleanup, we're taking a moment to slow down, soak up a little Michigan summer and recharge with grateful hearts.
