Pretty cool full-circle moment over here!!

GM Nick grew up playing football with the fella behind SolCero. Now, a few decades later, one owns a bar and the other launched a Michigan-made, veteran-owned mocktail company.

And The Pound gets to be their first on-premise location!

So yeah, we’re pretty excited about this one.

We’ve been thinking about this shoe for several days now.

Over the weekend someone came to The Pound with two shoes on and, at some point during the evening, apparently decided one was enough.

And we just have questions.

Are you even aware you’re missing a shoe?

At what point did having two shoes become unnecessary?

Did losing the shoe end the night or did your evening continue on as planned?

Does the other shoe know what happened?

Was the shoe bothering you or did you just decide you were sick of its s**t?

I’m sure people in the comments will have more.

Someone called this a real-life Cinderella story, which feels a little generous considering Cinderella left behind a glass slipper and you left behind a Hey Dude.

But still. Your prince awaits.

And by prince, we mean your shoe. It’s behind the bar.

Most of our staff wasn’t even born on September 11, 2001. The rest are too young to remember it.
But their families do.

For so many of their parents, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles, that day changed everything. It was the reason many of them raised their hand and said, send me.

What followed was a generation of Americans who served, deployed, sacrificed and spent years away from the people waiting for them at home.
So on this Patriot Day, our RED Friday means a little more.

Remember Everyone Deployed.

We wear RED today, and every Friday, for those still serving far from home and for the families waiting for them.

Until they all come home. 🇺🇸
