Today we say goodbye to Lauren. Lauren came to Sail Away and hit the ground running. We never worried if she would be there to open or be ready for anything thrown her way. Like her sister who just completed a 5 year masters program, Lauren will be graduating a year early from university. So as they all do, she is stepping out next summer and starting her career. She will so very missed here at Sail Away. We wish her all the best luck and will have to see her smiling face on the other side of the window ❤️

Good sunny morning !! I wanted to post to answer the question we get asked a lot. No, we are not going to be at the Fryeburg fair. They ask us every year, but our setup is not the right kind of setup to go to the fair. We went there once and decided it was a one and done. So come see us on your way to the fair we will be here ❤️

Welcome to another beautiful weekend in Bridgton. The heat has been fine, the humidity…stifling!! We manage pretty well until around 1pm when the weather outside is better than inside ! I will do my best to post any early closures.
We have cinnamon rolls this weekend. Not a lot but some !! They are delicious!!
We, as always have our amazing breakfast sandwiches and anything liquid you desire.
We here at Sail Away wish all of you an amazing weekend !!
On another topic…. I will be posting soon about our annual customer appreciation party. This is our chance to treat all of you for your unwavering support of our small family business. This only succeeds because of all of you so we celebrate you!! We will be celebrating at Bear Mountain Inn this year. This one will be different and xtra amazing !

Today we say goodbye to one of the best young ladies I’ve had the pleasure to work with. Becca came to us when we had our tiny cart and has been a solid employee. I never worried about the cart when Becca was at the wheel.
Always smiling, always happy !! She worked a masters program in 5 years and is off to start her life. We congratulate her for her success and look forward to seeing all life has to bring .
It is so hard for Dale and I when we have to let them go but we are so honored to have been a small part of the journey.
Thank you Becca for your years of dedication. We love you and will look forward to seeing you on the other side of the window ❤️❤️

I am pretty sure everyone knows my rockstar Emma and my precious pea. Dale and I are so blessed to have such amazing young Ladies that work so hard for us. We get our beautiful granddaughter Scarlett ( pea ) every summer and so we are not present during working hours . We do however drop in and out and when we do, these amazing ladies love on my angel and show her the ropes because one day, she will be the one serving all of you your delicious drinks and breakfast for champions!! That is, enough to fill you without making you need to take a nap! Haha . There will never be enough words to thank every single young lady that has devoted so much time and energy to this coffee cart. They become our daughters and we sure love each and every one of them. We also love that the support we get from here and afar has been unwavering. This was a small dream and it is still just a small dream. Just good coffee with a smile. Supporting local is so important to any and all towns. We choose to do it with love and appreciation.
Go drink that good drink. Go eat that great food with us or anywhere else , just keep it local as every one of the small businesses here fight and work hard everyday do try to do it better than the big cooperations! We do not have those deep pockets . We are just doing what we can !

This is what tomorrow afternoon is for ! It is supposed to be in the upper 90’s so we will close at 1pm. The afternoon hits and the heat decides to stay put inside that black box !! So come and get it while the gettin is good ❤️❤️

These last several weeks have been soo busy. We can hardly keep our heads above water , per se !! We have run out of syrups . We have run out of cups… breakfast sandwiches sell out by 10am and every time I say we will not add more eggs , I add more eggs !! The wonderful young ladies that work in the summer are working so hard and my hat is off to them !!!! I have the most amazing crew. Dale and I are blessed .
We have a very hot day coming this week and so I will update any possible early closures. When you work out of a coffee cart with espresso machines and coffee pots, it tends to add a lot of heat . So stay tuned for any changes in hours.
All this being said , with family here visiting and trying to make the most out of the summer sun, I have had to restock the cart at odd times at night . This is only fun with my helper , pea . She makes everything worth while . Give us a few years and she will be the precious face you see all summer long !!
Remember , we get our coffee, coffee beans , and retail bags of coffee straight from carribassett . If you need any coffee , let us know. They deliver our shipments every Thursday . We are happy to order whatever you need . We sell to you for the price we pay.
Let’s give some love to my tiny helper watching for mosquitoes and making art out of coffee stoppers . I am absolutely sure it drives our ladies crazy !!!
