✨ Seven years ago, we celebrated our very first anniversary at Las Américas with an unforgettable Latin Night — and brought Shekere Latin & Variety Band to Brenham for the first time! 💃🎶

Now, as fate would have it, our last night will fall on the same evening Shekere returns to take the stage at the Texas Arts and Music Festival. Feels a little like serendipity, doesn’t it?

So this Saturday, let’s honor the memories, the music, and every dance shared at Las Américas.

Eight years ago, Junior and I opened the doors to Las Americas Latin Cuisine with a dream to bring the flavors of Central and South America to our Brenham community. From the very beginning, we’ve been blessed with countless memories, brunches with friends, family celebrations, new faces who became regulars, and the joy of sharing our culture one plate at a time.

After much thought and prayer, Junior and I have decided that Las Americas will be closing its doors after dinner on October 18th. This was not an easy decision, but one that allows us to focus on other family ventures and businesses that need our time and energy right now. With Junior’s parents looking toward retirement from BT Longhorn 🐂, Junior will be stepping in more on that front.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has supported us, cheered us on, and dined with us over these 8 incredible years. We are so grateful for the love this community has shown to Las Americas, and we will carry these memories with us always. ❤️
