Kevin's bee garden at the farm

Kevin's bees have made it through the extremely cold winter. This year, the hive's focus will shift from honey production to producing new bees for additional hives. I will be taking three splits from this hive to create new hives dedicated to honey production. I am also stockpiling wax cappings to create Kevin's lip balm for Christmas 26.

This hive offers me comfort and strengthens my memory of Kevin. I am ordering a clear bubble dome for the top of this hive for others to view the activity within. Everyone is welcome to come to the farm for comfort, honey and the opportunity to talk about our shared loss.
