Carrin and Andres Perez met in high school and bonded over a shared love of food, fast-paced work, and serving others. They learned the food service craft together at Busch Gardens, later refining their hospitality skills at a historic bed and breakfast. Carrin’s journey led her into professional event planning, while her military career in the U.S. Mean

while, Andres served as an Army Combat Medic, making countless sacrifices while also finding joy in the camaraderie of mobile food trucks—what troops lovingly called the “gut truck.”

Their passion and commitment grew into something greater: The Perez Gut Truck. This family-run mobile food business is a tribute to their past and a promise to serve their community. Each hot dog served tells a story of resilience, cultural pride, and the simple joy of sharing a meal. Today, they bring their love of food and service to Seffner, Florida, blending New York classics with Puerto Rican flavor to feed hearts as much as stomachs.
