🚨UPDATE : DIFFICULT POST🚨
Over the past few years Graveyard Shift Coffee Co. has been growing as a brand within The Noise Box. It’s been at the shows serving attendees and asking conversational questions to deepen thoughts and relationships. At the very core was the desire to show love to everyone, talk about difficult topics in order for everyone to grow, and to continue building the efforts of The Noise Box within the music scene.
With every show it was able to build the efforts further. Fridges, filtration, coffee equipment, etc. The very next step was to create a consistent system of giving.
There is an organization called Charity: Water, a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe water to people around the world. They help build sustainable wells in areas where there is little or no access to clean water, which greatly assists in reducing sickness, increasing ability for those living in the area to work, and much more.
We also wanted to raise funds for them because, well, you can’t make great coffee without really good, clean water. And one of the best ways to help keep people living fulfilling lives is to help supply their basic needs, such as water.
Because of everyone’s support, we made a $310 donation to Charity: Water toward these efforts. We would love for you to consider learning more about Charity: Water, and even to consider giving toward their efforts if you feel led to. Their website is www.charitywater.org
So how is this a difficult post, you may ask? Well, there have been shifts changing within The Noise Box and in my life that leads to Graveyard Shift no longer being at The Noise Box. There has been talk about there still being a cafe available in The Noise Box for shows, and all of the equipment acquired and food/beverage inventory will still be there to set it up for success, but it would be under a different brand/vision.
Will Graveyard Shift ever “rise from the grave” again? Perhaps. But it would be in a different context years from now. For the moment, it will be laid to rest. So this will be our last post on this page for some time.
Keep loving. Keep asking hard questions. Keep rocking out. Live your life to the fullest.
