A little recognition that made us smile 🤍

Root & Seed has been recognized by Restaurant Guru and we’re so happy to see our little café and everything we create here getting noticed. From our house-made gluten-free & plant-based food to every cup of coffee and matcha, everything we serve is made with intention.

Thank you to everyone who walks through our doors, tries something new, comes back for their favorites, and tells a friend about us.

Experienced baristas ONLY.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Truly knows coffee and can taste and understand coffee
* Has strong espresso skills and can consistently make excellent hot drinks to our standards
* Can work independently and take full responsibility for the bar
* Can handle opening and closing flawlessly on their own
* Is comfortable multitasking and confident across all areas of Front of House
* Can jump between bar, register, bakery, customer service, cleaning, and daily café operations as needed
* Is proactive and anticipates what needs to be done
* Communicates well with the kitchen and works well as part of a team
* Has excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
* Is confident with customers and knows how to create opportunities to increase sales
* Takes responsibility for the overall customer experience and the quality of the café
* Is open to learning, growing, and taking on more responsibility as Root & Seed grows
* Is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work
* Is available to work Sundays

Please note: Experience that is limited to large chain coffee shops or highly specialized station-based roles is not what we are looking for. We need someone with independent café experience who is comfortable wearing many hats and taking ownership of the entire Front of House.
