Sigh-A-Nar-A
17 years!! Seems like only yesterday when we opened, and again seems so, so long ago!!
Jordie and Sonya have decided not to reopen Jordie’s Trail Side Cafe this spring.
Jordie has enjoyed her months off, and has decided entering retirement is her next big adventure.
But don’t worry! Jordie always has something up her sleeve, and I heard she’ll be having a garage sale coming up soon! Keep an eye out for her enjoying her garden this coming spring and summer.
Sonya, on the other hand, has found a new job, and really, really enjoys it! She has started driving for Cura of MN care facilities and assisted living, bringing residents to appointments and outings.
As three generations working side-by-side - grandma, mother, and daughter/granddaughter - we sure have grown up a lot together. Some days were rough, really rough!! But every day we were blessed. Together we created yummy food, soups, desserts, and most of all, a feeling that made you feel like you were at Granny’s house.
Running the cafe with just one of us was never in the books for either of us.
When one was done, so would be the other. We need each other like PB & J to make Jordie’s, Jordie’s!
Shoot, we miss you all already! But now we need to get together and go out to eat , or check out a concert, or play Bingo!
Our nights and weekends have totally changed - we have loved being able to be all together for family and friends’ events, which is something one of us usually had to miss out on. Now we can both be there!
We have wonderful neighbors right here in Bowlus who can still fill your tummies with amazing food!!

3rd generation brother and sister owners, Tanya and Kyle, have expanded and will be expanding more in the near future. They offer great burgers, wings, homemade pizzas, munchies, and so much more!

Just a block down Main Street you can create your own homemade pizza, grab and go hot items, ice cream cones, or maybe a coffee and Cold Spring bakery products!
We don’t know the next chapter for the building of Jordie’s, but we do know that Jordie will be enjoying the gardens this summer, along with Gramma Rosie, Mike, Ringo, and the cats!! Stop in and say hello. Jordie loves seeing, and visiting with, all of you.
We also invite you to continue to sit in and enjoy our gardens, just please be respectful of the property and clean up after yourselves.
