Hello beloved Trep customers. We have some disappointing news to share. A student run business, while great in theory, comes with many complications and difficulties. For over 10 years, full time students have been entrusted with running Trep Cafe, and for the most part, have succeeded in creating a profitable and successful business which has provided many business students with scholarships. Unfortunately, due to miscommunication's and frequent transitions in management throughout Trep's existence, certain elements of running a small business were neglected and are coming to light now and bearing the ultimate consequence.
We are so heartbroken to inform you that Trep Cafe will not be returning to operation this school year, and for the foreseeable future. It was an honor and a pleasure to serve each one of our customers, and we will miss doing so more than we can express.
We have been informed that Leeds is attempting to replace Trep with another coffee shop, so hopefully no one will have to be un-caffeinated for too long.
Once again, we are so sad to say goodbye, but we hope you will remember Trep Cafe as fondly as we will.
