How I made our most recent poster! I was inspired by 1️⃣ A long-ago staff trip to Next Barn Over Farm in Western Mass where we get our sweet potatoes and 2️⃣ Tatti Stampa, a printmaker in Tuscany who made prints of radicchio under snowy skies. 🎨 I bought high-quality, thick colored paper, cut out shapes for the sweet potato, sky, hills, and soil, and glued them down in order, then added the text and stars and upped the brightness and contrast in Canva. The most fun/frustrating part was cutting and placing the sweet potato roots but I felt they were important because I remember hearing them rip satisfyingly as the farmers harvested the sweet potatoes. ✂️ For my food posters, I feel like I can get the best results by cutting things out of paper rather than drawing them, painting them, or trying to make them digitally. Especially since the color is done for you! 🍠Thanks Enzo for inventing one of the greatest sandwiches of all time and farmer Ray for providing us with the best-tasting sweet potatoes! On the menu NOW! ♥️Lucia
