You know that feeling on the drive home?

When the day is finally over and you’re alone in the car and you just… exhale.

Not because you’re relieved. Because you’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.

You showed up today. You did the thing. You smiled through the meeting and nodded at the right times and said all the right words.

And somewhere between the third agenda item and the parking lot, you left yourself behind.

It’s not a bad day. It’s something quieter than that.

It’s the slow dimming of a woman who is fully capable of so much more than what that room ever gets to see.

And the scary part? You’ve gotten really good at explaining it away.

You’re fine. You’re grateful. You’re strong.

But fine is a four-letter word. And somewhere underneath all that capable, she’s still in there. The one with the fire. The one who knows exactly who she is when nobody’s watching.

She doesn’t need to be found. She needs to be declared.

That’s what I built.

Not a course. Not a program. Not another thing to keep up with.

Ten declarations for the woman who is done letting the day decide who she gets to be.

From Living on Mute to Full Volume. One declaration at a time.

It’s landing Monday. And it’s yours, as my gift to you.

Comment IN if the drive home has gotten quiet.

Stay close, girl.

You know who you are at 6am.

Coffee in hand. Nobody watching. Fully yourself.

Then the day happens and you find yourself going through the motions and at times wondering, "where did I go?" (That woman from 6am.)

Not because you forget. Not because you are actually lost. But because life has a way of turning down the volume on even the most fabulous women. The meetings get long. The emails get tedious. The conference room gets very, very beige.

And sometimes, between the second pointless agenda item and the third person who just said what she said but louder, you need a moment.

A breath. A quiet “I know who I am” before you walk back in.

That’s not weakness. That’s wisdom.

The woman who knows she’s meant for more doesn’t always get to say it out loud. But she never, ever forgets it.

I built something for her. Ten declarations to start her day grounded in exactly who she is. A daily anchor for the woman who refuses to let the beige win.

It’s a gift, and it’s coming your way on Monday.

Don’t go anywhere.

Raise your hand if you're done being the reasonable one. I want to see who's in this room.

Normally, I take the train.

This week is wild though - 3 office days back to back and then a 4th day with a doctor's appointment, all up in Boston. So, I had my reasons and I drove. And the drive took two hours.

Because Boston.

I left the house at 5:45am. I parked at 7:45am.

At one point, GPS told me I’d save five minutes if I got off the highway. I took the bait. Residential streets. Stoplights. The whole thing.

Then an emergency vehicle came through, lights and sirens. I did what you’re legally supposed to do. I pulled over.

The vehicle passed.

And three cars blazed right past me like I was invisible.

I may or may not have flipped them off from inside my car and used more than one choice curse word for them.

I also filmed a little video and sent it to my husband. (A tamer version. Barely.)

Here’s something most people don’t know about me: get me in a car when someone pulls that move and you are going to hear about it.

I drove to the office, walked in, and had a full day of work anyway.

Because the day doesn’t care what your morning was like.

What’s the moment from your week you almost posted… and then talked yourself out of?

You may not be attending church right now. You may not have anyone to talk to about what God is doing in your life. And somewhere along the way, you may have wondered if stepping away from the building meant stepping away from Him, too.

You aren't alone and it doesn't mean that you don't have faith and that you can't keep growing spiritually.

I designed my own 40 day faith-focused plan which had me really get even more intentional about my relationship with God. And, I am half way through a second one. And, let me tell you - I haven't gone to church in a WHILE. (if you are gasping and clutching your pearls, move along)

I didn’t leave my faith. I left the building. Maybe you are in that same boat.

I have a variety of ways I still connect to my faith and keep learning. Something in me simply wanted to go deeper in my own personal relationship. Instead of signing up for a course or going back to church, I just dug in on my own.

No paid course. Just my Bible, my Bible app, a journal, honest conversations, and showing up.

The point was to realign. To bring God into every part of my life. That's why I have decided to share a little more about it here. I was keeping God out of my business therefore off of social media because I do not just serve Christian women. I didn't want anyone thinking I was too preachy if I mentioned my faith. The truth is though that even in my darkest days when I was NOT close to God, I knew I needed that spiritual connection. It is foundational for me. So, why keep it a secret?

The missing piece wasn’t another person telling me how to believe. It was being more intentional to open my bible, or use the app to guide me through certain topics which I felt prompted to explore. Just me and God.

I learned, I had some a-has, and I am continuing because I know there is more for me.

If this is where you are, you are not alone. Your faith can be real, grounded, and keep growing, even outside the building.

If you are searching for your next spiritual growth move, drop a ✨ below.

Girl, you can tell me, in exquisite detail, everything you don’t want.

The job. The city. The relationship. The pace. The version of you everyone keeps applauding.

But ask you what you DO want?

Silence.

If that’s where you are, I get it. Naming what you don’t want can feel safer. It gives you something to push against. Wanting asks you to take a stance. To be seen. And, just maybe, take an action which risks disappointing someone who is perfectly happy with you exactly as you are right now.

But here’s the thing: that silence doesn’t mean you have no idea what you want.

It may mean you’ve spent so long reacting to life as it presents itself, maybe even in survival mode at times, becoming excellent at existing, excellent at being "okay", or worse - "FINE", that you haven’t had much practice naming the life you would choose.

Girl, you don’t need a more impressive answer. You need an honest one.

Try these on:

I want mornings I don’t dread.
I want work that uses my mind without consuming my life.
I want to be loved without auditioning.
I want money that gives me choices.
I want the space to change my mind.
I want more laughter and less drudgery.

I'm not talking a five-year plan. Not a presentation. A statement. What is your honest, "I want...." statement?

If you can’t name what you want, you can’t move toward it.

But wanting is the beginning, not the landing.

Sometimes “I want...” still keeps the thing at a distance. A wish. A longing. Something held just out of reach.

We’ll start with what you want. Then we’ll open a bigger conversation about daring to desire it, and what you’re willing to let become real.

More on that soon.

What would you like to get honest about wanting, today?
Share in the comments. I am cheering you on!

Sometimes life is only "okay." Now, hear me out. It can be okay AND you can still be fabulous during this "okayness".

Hang in here with me on this one. So, let's say you are doing what you have to do to get yourself back on your feet, or you are sacrificing in some area of life because it will mean something better in the future. You may not think, "oh, renting this room with 3 others is fabulous." However, who you are at the core and how you carry yourself through these circumstances can be.

Things may be "fine"- which you know in our world is a four-letter word. However, if this is an era you must step through, you aren't settling. You are doing what you need to do to get to that next version of yourself or life. But, you can still radiate "fabulousness" even when your circumstances are not your ideal.

Fabulous can exist in any circumstance. It’s a choice. An embodiment.

"I Only Do Fabulous." - Lesley Lane. It is a filter. It helps you notice when you’re Living by Default, shrinking your desires, or accepting Living on Mute when your life is asking to be experienced Full Volume.

The Fabulous Gap is the space between what looks good on paper and what feels true to you.

And here’s the transformation: after you do the work of identifying your values, that filter becomes your own personal guidelines. Your decisions become clearer. Your boundaries become stronger. Your next chapter becomes Living by Design.

Fine isn’t a circumstance. It’s a choice you can stop making.

Choose what feels aligned. Choose what matters most. Choose fabulous.

Save this as your reminder to stop settling for less than the life you’re ready to live. ✨

Functioning at full capacity while living on mute?

You keep the calendar moving. The work gets done. The people around you can count on you. And yet, somewhere underneath the competence, you feel the ache of a life that no longer sounds like your own.

This is Living by Default: making the sensible choice, meeting the expectation, and postponing the question of what you actually want.

That doesn’t make you ungrateful. It means something in you is asking to be heard.

The distance between the life that looks successful and the life that feels fully yours is The Fabulous Gap.

You do not need to go backward to become someone else. You need clarity about your values, and permission to want what matters most to you. That becomes a decision filter. The filter changes your choices. Your choices change your life.

That is the movement from Living on Mute to Full Volume. From Living by Default to Living by Design.

“I Only Do Fabulous.”- Lesley Lane

Save this if you’ve been searching for the language. Your next chapter deserves to be designed around what you’re becoming, not the shoulds you’ve outgrown.

You checked every box. Why does it still feel like something is missing?

Your career is successful. Your calendar is full (socially and professionally). From the outside, you look like you have it all together - and you do - mostly.

But somewhere between meeting expectations, strategizing the next growth move and managing the next responsibility, your own desires got pushed to the margins. You’re functioning at a high level… while quietly wondering, “Is this it?”

That’s The Fabulous Gap: the space between the life that looks right and the life that feels right.

The answer isn’t going backward or recreating an earlier version of you. The woman you’ve become is your foundation. What comes next is forward motion: it's time to clarify what matters most to you now and tap into what your heart is trying to tell you it desires with full permission to want what you want.

Do that and you have your decision filter. Different filter. Different choices. Different life.

From Living by Default to Living by Design. From Living on Mute to Full Volume. This is how you come alive again!

You don’t need more evidence that you’re capable. You need clarity about what you’re no longer willing to silence.

“I Only Do Fabulous.”- Lesley Lane

Save this as your reminder that a life can be successful and still be ready for a more honest design. ✨

Feeling stuck searching?

You may not need more information from external sources. You may need to get more curious about yourself.

When you’re used to reaching for the next answer, another course, role, or responsibility, it can feel like progress. It can even feel responsible.

But sometimes, that’s Living by Default dressed up as being responsible.

The question may not be, “What else should I learn?” It may be, “What do I actually want? What matters most to me now? Where does my energy belong?”

You may be taking on responsibilities that aren’t yours because you haven’t yet gotten clear on where you want to stretch.

Clarity doesn’t come from searching harder. It comes from listening more closely to yourself.

That’s the move from Living by Default to Living by Design: less outside noise, more honest curiosity, and choices that feel like yours.

Save this for the next time you find yourself looking for the next course or job opportunity, or saying yes to an extra project at work. Give me a 👑 if you relate.

Feeling behind? You’re not.

You’ve built a good life... and still find yourself questioning it. You count your blessings while wondering, “is this all there is?” That doesn’t make you ungrateful. It means something in you is asking to be heard.

You may have hit a plateau. Not a dead end: a place where the life that brought you here no longer feels like enough for what’s next. You’re being called to stretch, shift, and choose the next version of your life.

That longing for something more may not come with a clear answer. It may simply be an inner nudge to get curious about what matters now.

Some days, you’re Living on Mute: watching the calendar fill up while wondering whether you’re even allowed to want something different.

The woman you’re becoming isn’t a replacement for who you were. She’s gathering everything you’ve learned, getting clear on what matters most to you now (because that can change), and stepping forward by design. She’s ready to come off Mute and live at Full Volume.

It’s time to compare less, release the shoulds, and let yourself be guided toward a life where aliveness is a given.

You are not late. You are on your way.

Send this to the woman in your life who needs to hear it.

💋 Lesley
