HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BLUE! 🎉❤️

It’s crazy how God brings people into your life. Blue first came to Park 54 with another DJ. Then he became our Thursday night karaoke host. Somewhere along the way, we found out he was already connected to family through Will and even Earl… and before we knew it, Blue became family too.

And when we say family, we mean it.

Blue, you have been so much more than a host to us. You genuinely want to see Park 54 win. Through some of the hardest times, especially navigating this economy, you have constantly tried to help us bring people through the doors, increase revenue, connect us with DJs, promote events and keep us encouraged.

But what means the most is that you’ve never acted like anything was beneath you. You’ve bussed tables. You’ve run food. You’ve jumped on the DJ booth when we had nobody. You’ve hosted our events. You’ve brought us DJs. And on the days when we’ve felt like throwing in the towel, you’ve been one of the people reminding us to keep going.

That kind of love and loyalty cannot be bought.

Blue, you are truly a blessing to Park 54 and to us personally. You’re an amazing father, a great human being, and someone we are incredibly grateful to call family.

Today, we just want to pour some of that love back into YOU.

People see the food, the drinks, the music, the events, and the good times…but they don’t always see what happens behind the scenes to keep a small business running.

Today, the belt broke on the exhaust fan that pulls the smoke out of our kitchen. My staff called me, and I jumped up, headed straight to the restaurant, stopped at AutoZone to grab a new belt, and before I knew it, I was up on the roof, in the rain, replacing it myself. 😩😂

Owner. Manager. Maintenance woman. Roofer. Mechanic. Whatever the day requires. 😂

There are so many things that happen behind the scenes that customers will never know about. Things break. Problems happen at the worst possible time. And when you’re the owner, sometimes there’s nobody else to call — you ARE the call.

Running a restaurant is not for the faint of heart. Some days you’re dressed up greeting customers, and other days you’re soaking wet on a rooftop fixing an exhaust fan so your kitchen can keep cooking.

But these are the things we do to keep the doors open, keep our staff working, and keep pushing forward.

Small business ownership is a different kind of hustle.

This year’s Taste of Ethnic Boston marked our 4th year being invited, and we are truly grateful to Collette for hosting this incredible event.

As I looked around this year, it was hard not to notice that many of the Black-owned restaurants that have participated in years past weren’t there. The reality is that so many independent restaurants are facing financial challenges right now, and sometimes just showing up is a victory.

For Park 54, participating wasn’t easy. We paid our staff, purchased and prepared all of our food, brought our team, and served guests from the moment the doors opened until the very end. While attendees purchased tickets to enjoy the event, participating restaurants absorb significant costs. We didn’t come because it made financial sense — we came because we wanted to support the event, support our community, and continue building our brand.

There wasn’t a moment when we weren’t serving customers. We barely had time to look up, smile, or catch our breath because the line never stopped — we fed almost 500 attendees! To every single person who waited in line to taste our food — thank you. Your patience, your support, and your kind words meant more than you know. We truly hope you enjoyed every bite, and we can’t wait to welcome you to Park 54 soon.

Four Years of Park 54 🖤

This June 18th through June 20th, we invite you to celebrate Park 54’s 4th Anniversary with us.

Four years ago, we opened our doors with a vision of creating more than just a restaurant and lounge. We wanted to build a place where our community could come together to enjoy great food, great music, and unforgettable moments. What we never imagined was just how much this community would come to mean to us.

The truth is, the past year has brought challenges that many people never saw behind the scenes. Like so many small businesses, we’ve faced obstacles that tested us in ways we never expected. There were moments when the future felt uncertain.

But because of your loyalty, your support, and your decision to continue choosing Park 54, our doors are still open today.

Every dinner reservation, every brunch, every celebration, every cocktail, every event, every social media share, and every word of encouragement has made a difference.

As a proud Black-owned business, we are especially grateful that your support allows us to create opportunities for so many people from our own community. Park 54 is more than a place to eat and drink; it’s a place of employment, growth, and opportunity for dozens of hardworking individuals and their families. Because of you, we are able to continue investing in our team and giving back to the community that has given us so much.

This anniversary isn’t just about celebrating four years of business. It’s about celebrating four years of resilience, community, and the people who refused to let us give up.
